Digital IP announced as Finalists for UC Enterprise Solution at the 2011 CN Awards

We are delighted to announce that Digital IP have been nominated as a finalist for the Enterprise UC Solution Award as part of the Comms National Awards 2011.

Our entry was based on our deployment of a Microsoft Unified Communications solution (including enterprise voice) for a large council in the North of England. This involved the deployment of Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Microsoft Exchange 2010 and the migration of users from their legacy PBX platform. In particular, we were able to develop a cost effective solution that delivered not only the required capabilities, but also highly available voice within an aggressive budget. Deployment was also carried out within very tight timescales.

We are particularly pleased at getting to this stage with a Microsoft UC solution, as the awards are normally dominated by the traditional voice vendors. This nomination is a vindication of our strategy around Microsoft UC and voice and a vote of confidence from the telecoms community in the strength of the platform. “
