Quality
A very high standard of quality assurance is at the heart of everything
we do at Digital IP. As well as meeting the very strict quality requirements
demanded by world class partners such as Microsoft, HP and Siemens we also hold
ISO 9001:2008 approval.
It is the established policy of Digital IP Ltd to provide its customers with
products and services which comply in all respects with the agreed
specifications and which are fit for their intended purpose, where this is
known. In the pursuance of this policy, the requirements of the International
Standard – BS EN ISO 9001:2008, have been implemented together with the
requirements of all applicable product realisation related, statutory and
regulatory documents. The purpose of the Quality Manual is to describe how this
policy is implemented, to give guidance to our employees whose actions can
affect the quality of product and services, and to illustrate the overall
commitment to continual improvement to quality within our company.
The quality management system (including this policy) is maintained by audit and
review, and by the methods described in this manual in order to provide
effective assurance that all customer specified requirements are consistently
achieved.
Health & Safety
Occupational Health Safety Assessment System (OHSAS) 18001 is an international
standard for occupation health and safety management systems. Digital IP gained
this standard in 2010 and are committed to complying with this standard.
OHSAS 18001 is a combined management system for the working environment and
safety similar to what is used for quality assurance within a company. OHSAS
18001 provides the following benefits: Potentially saves costs within a company
by coordinating individual certification schemes into one Reduce the employees
exposure to occupational health and safety risks Demonstrate compliance in
regards to a positive working environment and safety concerns.
Policy
Digital IP Ltd regards the occupational health, safety and welfare of staff as
being of the highest importance.
- In accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 the Company recognises
and accepts the responsibilities placed upon it for providing a safe and healthy
work place and working environment for all employees.
- Each individual employee of Digital IP Ltd has a duty, whilst at work, to take
reasonable care for the health and safety of himself and of any other persons
who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and to co-operate with
the Company Board in any duty or requirement imposed by the relevant statutory
provisions.
- The objectives of the policy are:-

To promote standards of safety, health and welfare that comply fully with the
terms and requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 and all other
relevant statutory provisions and approved Codes of Practice.

To maintain safe and healthy work places, systems, plant and methods of work
and to protect staff and others, including trainees, rehabilitees and the public
insofar as they come into contact with foreseeable work hazards, and to provide
and maintain means of access to and away from the workplaces which are so far as
it is reasonably practicable safe and without risks to health.

To ensure safety and absence of risks to health, so far as is reasonably
practicable, in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of
articles and substances.

To provide and maintain a safe and healthy working
environment for the staff with adequate facilities and arrangements for welfare. To provide such information, instruction, training and supervision as is
necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety
at work of staff and other persons using the buildings.

To develop safety awareness among the staff and individual responsibility for
health and safety at all levels.
- If Digital IP Ltd uses equipment, goods or services provided by other bodies or
individuals it will so far as the danger arises on its own premises take such
immediate precautions as may be necessary against risks to health or safety
arising there from. As appropriate, the Board will report the existence of these
risks to other bodies or individuals for attention and will keep under review
the progress made with their correction.
Respect for the Environment
Digital IP has a company environmental policy statement which reads as follows:
“It is the primary and continuing policy of Digital IP that in the conduct of its
activities it will endeavour to protect the Environment and to ensure that
Digital IP’s policies concerning Environmental matters are applied to all
activities. Digital IP will co-operate with other agencies and their appropriate
authorities in the formulation of standards and means of compliance. Digital IP
will ensure that all employees are properly informed of their responsibilities
for Environmental matters and that appropriate mechanisms are in place and used
for consultation with employees on matters affecting our environmental impact.”
In addition, we are at an advanced stages of working towards the
achievement of ISO standard 14,001:2004, addressing the environmental impact of
the company.
