With Dell the world's leading computer systems company's announcement that it had chosen City Park, Glasgow as the location for its UK operations' expansion into Scotland came great excitement.
Initially creating up to 400 jobs in Glasgow by 2006,
the new Scottish base was to support increased demand for its products
and services from medium and large businesses and public sector organisations
in the UK.

perfect telecoms and data solution to meet and exceed Dell's exacting
standards.
Digital IP beat off stiff competition from UK facilities management companies
and cabling specialists to land the deal which involved cabling and networking
the first phase of Dell’s new contact centre in City Park, Alexandra
Parade, Glasgow.
Digital IP was able to meet the extremely strict time-scales demanded by the technology giants. Its in-house teams of specialists installed structured cabling with a fibre-optic backbone to create a local area network, which will allow Dell to communicate seamlessly with its existing operations in Ireland.
